Nevertheless, the city libraries have justified themselves as one of the most effective cultural organizations of the city, united into one centralized library system. During these years, socially significant, cultural and mass events were purposefully and on a large scale held in the libraries of the city, increasing the spiritual wealth, historical self-awareness of the people, promoting the history, culture and literature of the Kazakh people, the life and work of outstanding historical figures of the republic and the region. Thus, events dedicated to the memory of Yeset batyr, Ayteke bi, Yeset Kotibar, Kaidauyl batyr, A.Zhubanov, A.Moldagulova, anniversaries of T.Akhtanov, K.Shangytbayev, A.Ashimov, I.Zhakanov, M.Kurmanalin were successfully held. On October 15, the "Librarian's Day" began to be celebrated in the region, which found support throughout the republic. During the perestroika, libraries were rebuilt along with the whole country. We experienced crises and economic difficulties and learned to work in a new way.
From 2007 to 2010, the library system was headed by Mambetova Sarah Yeralievna. During this period, books are poured from closed libraries into the collections of city libraries, and she is engaged in their placement together with the staff.
